App developer Grappus tasked us with creating a motion graphic showcase of
various iOS apps designed and developed by them for international clients. We set out by story
boarding and creating a unique look and color scheme for each app showcased in the film so as to
make each section as distinct as each individual app. We paid a lot on attention to music options and
decided to go for a subtle but very technology oriented soundtrack which gave a distinct feel of
gadgets.
Tech:
The iPhone and iPad were modeled, textured and animated in Cinema4D. The
layouts were created in After Effects and Illustrator with final compositing and animation in After
Effects. The app designs were imported as layered files and then animated individually, requiring
frame by frame masking at many sections.
